The Istanbul Museum of Modern Art or Modern Sanat Istanbul was founded in 1987 at the request of Professor Dr. Necati Egzaghi Bashi, under the supervision of the Turkish government. It is a museum dedicated to Turkish and international contemporary art.
\nAfter that, this museum remained specific to a specific time and type of art until 2003, when the former Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the possibility of opening the museum throughout the year, it began to be used continuously and became more active and vibrant and was expanded to an area of 8,000 square metres.<\/p>\n

Istanbul Museum of Modern Art location<\/h2>\n

The museum is located on the European bank of the Bosphorus in the Beyoglu district, next to the oldest ports of Istanbul, which was established in the thirteenth century and is still standing today.
\nIt can be visited on Sundays and Tuesdays from ten in the morning until six in the evening.
\nThursday from ten o’clock until eight o’clock.
