Avcilar is located in the western part of Istanbul between the areas of Esenyurt, Beylikdüzü, and Başakşehir
Avcilar district is considered one of the best areas in Istanbul in terms of the high social environment and in terms of the location, which is central to its neighboring areas. It directly overlooks the Marmara Sea and is located to the west of Küçükçekmece Lake, from which the two main roads in Istanbul pass, TEM E5.
Avcilar is one of the old areas, as it was a fishing village before the middle of the twentieth century, and this is what distinguishes the neighborhoods adjacent to the sea, and the features of the neighborhood changed after the great earthquake that occurred.
This change has resulted in a loop progress in urbanization and a development in the services of restaurants and hotels, with its distinctiveness by its proximity to the sea
The popular neighborhoods are adjacent to the Marmara Sea. As for the modern residential complexes, they are in the Ispartakule area, which is witnessing a great urban development. Istanbul University has been opened in the region, and there is a corniche adjacent to the Marmara Sea, in which are distributed green spaces, grasslands, family sessions, in addition to children’s games and sports equipment.
The area of Avcilar area is 42.59 km2, and the area consists of several neighborhoods, the most famous of which are (Gumus Bala, Avcilar Markaz, Cihan Gir and others). According to the statistics of 2018, the population reached 435,682 after the population was estimated in 2008, ten years ago only 333,944 people. That is a 130% increase.
The percentage of males is 51.1%, and females are 49%. The married constituted 62.2% of the total population, and the single ones accounted for 37.8%. According to the latest statistics of the Directorate of Souls, Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul, the percentage of children under the age of eighteen is 37.2%, and youth up to the age of fifty-five with a percentage of 53%, and those aged 55 and over reached the rate of 9.8%.
Some Avcilar neighborhoods are adjacent to the E5 road, and the metrobus stations are the most important means of transportation in Istanbul. As for the modern part of Avcilar, which is IspartaKule, the TEM highway passes through it, which connects Istanbul with other cities such as Sakarya, Izmit and Edirne.
It is also under the name of Marmara Market, a large commercial market consisting of shops that include the most famous local and international brands, and there are many shopping centers, the most famous of which is the famous Pelican Mall. There are also restaurants, cafes, various shops, cinemas, and places of entertainment.
The Greater Istanbul Municipality has also worked on developing the infrastructure in the region and has built many bridges and tunnels, as well as the IDO water station that connects Istanbul with each other and the nearby coastal cities like Yalova and Bursa
And because of the great development that took place in the region, this development led to a rise in the prices of apartments located in the center of the region
