The Karasu Sakarya region on the Black Sea is famous for its natural and tourist places that capture the heart, including the Kucuk Bogaz Lake and the estuary of the Sakarya River in the Black Sea, in addition to the Acarlar Pond, and its submerged forests.  Karasu Sakarya is 55 km away from the center of Sakarya.

The Karasu Sakarya region attracts many tourists from within or outside Turkey due to its privileged location overlooking the Black Sea and its proximity to Istanbul, which is about two and a half hours away by car.

One of the most important tourist places in Karasu that attracts tourists is the Acarlar Longozu Water Forest, which is the largest water forest in Turkey and is one of the largest Longozu forests around the world. The Acarlar Longozu forest is located in the center of Karasu and occupies an area of ​​24 square kilometers.

In the summer of 2018, the Acarlar Longozu Forest received nearly 500,000 visitors and is the main path for migratory birds and a center for hundreds of species of plants, trees, and flowers.

The forests of Acarlar Longozu are also home to many species of birds and fish, giving it the status of biodiversity that attracts visitors from all over.
